  10. little crossover between this year's Best Metal Performance
  11. and its Best Classical Instrumental Soloist (With Orchestra),
  12. but not all Grammy categories are quite so distinct.

  15. specific categories in mind, many recordings end up blurring
  16. the boundaries between genres like pop and rock, gospel and
  17. country, or hard rock and metal. As such, the Grammy screening
  18. process, in which entries are reviewed for eligibility and assigned
  19. to specific categories, entails considerable energy and expertise.
